As a straight woman in a very loving and caring committed relationship, I have the right to choose I the right to decide when and where I will marry. My marriage can be recognized by every state in the union. My husband can visit me in the hospital, be on my health insurance, and legally inherit my money. My children have a family that is legitimized as “normal”. Every man, woman, and child deserves these rights.
EVERYONE deserves the right to be married or not, and NOBODY/NO GOVERNMENT should be able to deny us that RIGHT!
A marriage equality supporter was holding a sign shown on TV this week. The sign read: “Even if I choose to be gay, people choose to be assholes, and they get to marry!” That sums it up for me! It’s not a choice, but if that’s your only argument it is debunked by that statement!!!!!
Here’s to the Supreme Court doing the right thing!
