Desiree's Desires, Inc. With the New Year approaching soon and the chaos of Christmas almost over, it’s time to focus on one another. We have compiled a list of romantic suggestions for our 12 Days of Romance Guide. 
- Even/Odd Day per Month: He’s evens, she’s odds. Pick a day, and he/she has to plan the romance that day/night of the month. Make it fun and really treat each other to something special.
- Intimate Gift Giving: Create a private space in your bedroom to exchange naughty or nice gifts with one another. Put up a tree just for you. You may even be able to get a red or white tree and set it up again on Valentine’s Day.
- Staycation: Whether it’s a cabin in the woods, a spa retreat, or the Hilton the next town over, a couple needs time away together. You don’t need to book a massive vacation. All you need is a night away with room service, a hot tub, and time alone.
- Champagne by the Fire: A blanket in front of the fire with champagne and chocolates makes a warm, cozy, romantic night.
- Dinner by Candlelight: This will get you huge points in the romance department. If she always cooks, you could set the scene or try cooking for her and vice versa.
- Breakfast in Bed: Another romance classic. No explanation necessary.
- Identify a Pivotal Event: Anniversaries are typical celebrations and over time may not be very romantic. Try something different. Celebrate a changing point in your relationship each year with the same romantic spark it gave you years ago.
- Couples Massage: Relax together by booking a couples massage at a day spa and pamper yourselves.
- Fancy Date Night: Date night is a must in any relationship. Instead of jeans and a t-shirt, dress-up and be fancy. You don’t even have to go to a fancy restaurant. Just enjoy each other in your Sunday best! Don’t forget to throw a compliment or two your partner’s way.
- Wine Glass Toast: Every time you find yourselves holding a wine glass, give each other a private toast. Maybe a whisper. Tell him/her why you appreciate one another.
- Flirty Note: it’s up to your imagination. Try this: unplug the TV and put a note up saying, “Turn me on instead”.
- Guys: Do a chore for her once a week. You’ll be surprised how romantic she’ll consider that one act and just how fast you end up in the bedroom!
