FYI – Masks Still Required

Masks Still Required

Thank you kind customers for wearing masks!

In August 2021, after a few months of optional masking, we reinstituted our mask policy for all customers visiting our boutique. This is to protect ourselves and other customers. Since that time, we have had very positive encounters with customers. Fortunately, they understand that we are all in different health situations, and respect our decision at our private business to follow CDC guidelines and recommendations.

Just two customers have seen our “masks required” sign, and have chosen to go back to their vehicles and shop elsewhere. While we would like them to visit our store, we respect their decision to find another place to go. We want everyone to feel comfortable in our boutique, so if it’s not the right place for you, we understand and respect your decision.

On the other hand, we have experienced one male customer be very abusive toward us to the point he is no longer permitted into our boutique. He’s visited twice since August. He attempts to be non-compliant and skirt around us. He yells at us, throws things at us, swears at us, and shows an eonrminent amount of disrespect. In this case, the customer is NOT ALWAYS RIGHT! You can’t be abusive to business owners and clerks and expect to patronize the establishment.

We thank those of you who are respectful and kind. We are appreciative of those who know that small businesses continue to navigate this pandemic the best ways they can.

CDC Guidelines for Masks in our Boutique

Per the CDC, people who are not fully vaccinated or those aged 2 or older “should wear a mask indoor public places.” Also, if you live in an area of “substantial or high transmission,” masks INDOORS for ALL (regardless of vaccination status) is recommended.

Our boutique is in Worcester County, which is at HIGH risk. Therefore, we are requiring masks when visiting and shopping in our boutique. We appreciate your cooperation for this decision. Thank You!

Community Transmission:  High
Everyone in Worcester County, Massachusetts should wear a mask in public, indoor settings. Mask requirements might vary from place to place. Make sure you follow local laws, rules, regulations or guidance.
