Keep it Local

Keep it LocalKeep it Local: Worcester Leather Goods

In this day and age where everything is made over seas, we look for Made in the U.S.A. labels all the time. Some of our best products are made in California, but we are always looking to keep it local.

When Joel of J&J Leather walked in our door a couples years ago, we were so happy to meet a local craftsman who wanted to stock us up with good quality products. Keep it local is something, as small family business owners, we try to do at every turn even if it costs us a little more. What we learned with Joel is his crafted leather goods cost less! Better quality at a lower cost. It seems like a win-win to me.

We are happy to carry his full line of leather and neoprene harnesses, as well as a variety of his leather crops. There is no fancy packaging with these products. What we find is the nicer the packaging the more expensive the product becomes. Our philosophy is simple: who cares what the packaging looks like if the products is top quality. It’s not about the fancy box. It’s about function, sustainability, and quality, and comfort of the product.

It’s not just because Joel is a nice guy that we do business with him. Although, that is a true plus! His customer service is outstanding. We keep it local with J & J Leather because our customers really like his products. His harnessed have a great fit and are comfortable. They are unisex, and offer high quality materials. Whether you prefer all leather, a leather pad with nylon straps, or neoprene with nylon straps, you are sure to get a comfortable and long-lasting product. As for his crops, they are colorful, sturdy, and well constructed.

We are promoting J & J Leather in an effort to let everyone know we like to keep it local! Joel is old-school. He doesn’t have a website. He just has his craft and workmanship. That’s really the only promotion he needs.

You you know more local business we should be paying attention to, drop us a line and let us know.
