Vibrators: More than Just Pleasure

Vibrators are Commonly Used for Vaginal Therapy

Vibrators: Afterglow

Recently we have seen an increase in the number of female customers having vaginal issues: dryness, tightness, and pain. I’m pleased they are turning to our store for recommendations and suggestions to help ease their vaginal symptoms. In fact, many of their OB/GYNs have sent them over to see us. While kegel exercises can be helpful for toning the pelvic floor muscles, women with vaginal dryness, tightness, and pain should focus on stimulation that only vibrators can give.

Vibrators for Vaginal Dryness

Vaginal dryness is a common problem for women, especially as they age. Of course, buying the right lubricant is the first step! For vaginal dryness we always recommend a silicone-based lube for intercourse. Silicone-based lube is not water-soluble and leaves a thin coating on the skin, which keeps you slicker longer. However, most silicone-based lubes are not sex toy compatible. Using vibrators can help assist women in stimulating blood flow to the genitals. Increased blood flow may increase natural lubrication. Additionally, during foreplay is the best time to use vibrators to ease vaginal dryness.

Vibrators for Vaginal Tightness

Many women experience vaginal tightness. The vagina is a muscle and it can freeze up. Vaginal tightness and poor muscle tone can lead to severe pain for women. Vibrators can be a huge help in relaxing and massaging the muscles; thereby reducing pain and increasing muscle contractions. The effect of vaginal vibrator therapy is to massage, relax, and dilate the vaginal muscles. The size, length, and diameter of the vibe is dependent on the tightness severity. Sometimes women need to start with a small vibrator and increase to medium-sized vibes.

Vibrators for Vaginal Pain

Vaginal pain can be caused by so many things. Google it, and you’ll come across a number of syndromes, diseases, infections, and medical conditions. Vaginal pain can be caused by conditions that are urological, sexual, spinal, etc. When it comes to identifying one specific cause of vaginal pain, you should absolutely contact your doctor. What we know in the sex therapy world is that vibrators can help subdue vaginal pain. In fact, there are women who specifically go to physical therapy for their vaginas.  Vibrators are used during the PT sessions for muscle help and development.

This can be a serious issue for women, especially as our bodies change. Whether from age, accident, physical/mental condition, or the like, vaginas are muscular organs in our bodies. We have to treat them as such, and keep them in shape!
