  1. If you don’t use it, you lose it: This is oh so true. We need to keep our vaginas strong. That means we need to use them. Whether you are playing solo or with a partner, vaginal penetration is best to have at least 3 times per week. Not only are you exercising those muscles, hopefully you are having a pleasurable experience. Not to mention, all those endorphins we release during sex can have other health benefits like lowering stress, aiding in a good night’s sleep, and decrease of headaches.
  2. Kegel Exercises: Most commonly used to improve incontinence, the vaginal benefits of doing kegel exercises are endless. Starting with a weighted kegel exerciser early in life leads to stronger PC muscles. In turn, the benefits include: greater vaginal strength, tighter vaginal contractions, and more pleasurable sex.
  3. The Power of Vibration: Vibrators are a wonderful tool to increase blood flow and arousal in women. If you are experiencing any vaginal pain or loosening of the muscles, using a vibrator 3-7 days per weeks for 10-20 minutes can help stimulate/massage your muscles, increase blood flow, and give your vagina overall tone. When choosing a vibrator, it’s best to use silicone vibes for better hygiene and higher quality.
  4. Please Talk Openly: If more women talked openly about vaginal health, the less taboo it would become. Women’s health could become the focus of the medical community leading to better overall care for all women. Also, talk with your partner about your vaginal wants and needs. Most importantly, if you are experiencing anything uncomfortable or irregular, please seek advise from a medical professional. We must make our vaginal health a priority for us.

Make these tips part of your daily exercise routine. You’ll be glad you did! It will make us live longer and have healthier more fulfilled sex lives. Are you wiling to focus more on your overall vaginal health?
